World Rivers Day is an annual celebration of the world’s waterways, observed on the fourth Sunday of September. It highlights the many values of rivers and strives to increase public awareness and encourage the improved stewardship of waterways around the world.

The City has been celebrating Rivers Day with a community event for many years, bringing together local residents to engage in hands-on activities and learn about protecting our local waterways and the ecosystems that rely on them.
