GoCNV is a neighbourhood-based program to encourage active transportation and transit use in the City. The program provides supports and incentives to residents who want to connect with their community by taking more walking, cycling, and transit trips.

How Does GoCNV Work?

Neighbourhood residents can sign up for GoCNV online to receive a welcome package. Throughout the program, we’ll provide info and resources to help participants reduce their driving, and try walking, biking or transit. Participants can track their trips to earn prizes, and participate in fun program activities to stay motivated!

2018 Pilot Program

In 2018, GoCNV was piloted in the Central Lonsdale East neighbourhood. The program included family-friendly events, neighbourhood activities, prizes and personalized travel planning assistance. Through the spring and summer, participant trip tracking showed a 10% increase in active transportation and transit trips, and a 7% decrease in driving trips.

The 2018 pilot was conducted in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, the BC Alliance for Healthy Living, and TravelSmart.
