The Shipyards
The City owns and manages The Shipyards, a premier waterfront gathering place, featuring year-round entertainment, dining and spectacular views of the downtown skyline.
The Shipyard Commons is located in the heart of The Shipyards and offers residents and visitors a unique, interactive, gathering place. Part of The Shipyard Commons is The Shipyards Splash Park, operating from May until September. During the winter months, The Shipyard Commons is converted into The Skate Plaza, the region's largest outdoor skating rink.

This purpose-built facility offers interactive multimedia exhibits that explore themes such as the area's Indigenous roots with the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the history of shipbuilding, local outdoor recreation, and the region's industrial development. Notable highlights include the restored Streetcar 153.
