Incentive Programs & Resources

There are various incentives and options available to help support both zero emission vehicles as well as the infrastructure required to support them. Various provincial and federal resources have been included below.

Vehicle Incentives

The Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program is the Federal government’s initiative to make new and used zero emission vehicles more affordable, offering up to $5,000 towards the purchase of an eligible EV.

Through the CleanBC Go Electric initiative, BC’s clean energy vehicle rebate program offers up to $3,000 for the purchase or lease of an eligible EV.

The SCRAP-IT Program is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality by getting older vehicles off the road. The program offers qualifying vehicle owners incentives to scrap their older vehicles, including $6,000 towards a new EV or $3,000 towards a used EV.

Charging Station Rebates

CleanBC Go Electric is the Province's central platform for EV incentives and information. Rebates are available for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations in single family homes, apartments, condos, and workplaces. Rebates are also available for the creation and implementation of an EV Ready plan - a professional strategy for condo and apartment buidlings to make at least one parking space per residential unit EV ready.
