Fire Danger Current Rating

As the weather gets warmer, the risk of fire in our forests increases. We have a shared responsibility to make choices that don’t result in fires.

The Current Fire Danger Rating is BC’s official risk of a forest fire starting. The higher the risk, the more careful and vigilant we all have to be. Visit the BC Wildfire Activity Fire Danger webpage for more information.

fire danger rating HIGH

A HIGH fire rating means that forest fuels are very dry and the fire risk is serious. New fires may start easily, burn quickly, and challenge fire suppression efforts.

Fire ratings are provided as a convenience. BC's Fire Danger webpage is the source of the ratings and has the most accurate current rating.
