We’re working with the other North Shore municipalities and the Province’s CleanBC program to help homeowners make the switch to heat pumps for home heating and cooling. This campaign is part of the North Shore municipalities' efforts towards addressing climate change and achieving our climate targets. This program was developed with financial support from BC Hydro.
Rebates for Heat Pumps
With up to $11,000 in combined rebates from the provincial and federal government, there’s no better time to make the switch to a heat pump.
- CleanBC Better Homes Program: Get up to $6,000 to switch from fossil fuel heating to a heat pump. Be sure to register with the North Shore group purchase code: GPR0272-EXP31/03/2024-CBC and include it in your application to receive up to $500 in additional rebates. This code expires on March 31, 2024, and can be used by a maximum of 30 participants. Learn more and apply at CleanBC Better Homes.
- Canada Greener Homes Program: Grants of up to $5,000 to help homeowners make energy efficiency retrofits to their homes, including switching to a heat pump. Learn more and apply at Canada Green Homes Grant.
Please note that the provincial and federal rebate programs require separate applications. The City’s top-up funding has been fully subscribed and is not currently available. Updates about top-up funding will be provided on this page when available.
