Where You Can Park with a SPARC Permit
In the City of North Vancouver, vehicles displaying a valid SPARC placard may park for free in the following locations:
- On-street accessible parking spaces operated by the City. Please follow any posted time limits on accessible parking signs.
- Accessible parking spaces in City-owned off-street parking lots. Time limits apply if shown on signage. You can view the map below to see which lots are included. Keep in mind that privately operated lots may charge a fee, even for accessible spaces.
- Time-limited Except with Permit areas, for up to 72 hours. This is the maximum time allowed for any vehicle under section 505 of the Street and Traffic Bylaw.

Types of Accessible Parking Spaces
|
Priority accessible spaces are usually parallel parking spots located near building entrances – offering the greatest convenience for a wide range of people with mobility limitations.
For people using a wheelchair traveling in a modified vehicle, most of these spaces support passenger side wheelchair access to sidewalks, but may not meet the needs of all. |
 |
Barrier-free accessible spaces are wider to support a wide range of people with mobility challenges. They are typically found in angled parking bays or off-street lots. |
