Earth Hour is a worldwide event, held each year on the last Saturday of March, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.
BC Rivers Day began in 1980 and has grown exponentially since then. In 2005, Rivers Day was recognized by the United Nations and became World Rivers Day.
The Cool It! Climate Leadership Program delivers educational workshops for grades five and six students in all City schools.
