The City's People, Culture & Transformation Department is responsible for recruitment, benefits administration, job evaluation, salary administration, organizational development, occupational health and safety, labour relations, staff training and development, employee recognition, wellness, and executing a comprehensive business improvement and transformation strategy aligned with the City’s corporate plan.
In addition, the People & Culture Services Department fosters harmonious employee and union management relations, and provides progressive and responsive services that are consistent with prevailing Collective Agreements, legislation, and policies.
