Poverty Reduction Strategy

The District of West Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, the District of North Vancouver, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nation have been working together to create a Poverty Reduction Strategy for the North Shore. This is the first Poverty Reduction Strategy prepared for the North Shore.

This important initiative builds from TogetherBC, British Columbia’s first Poverty Reduction Strategy.

The process and input for creating the strategy has been completed. We are completing the Strategy and it will be posted here soon.

Solutions Navigators

Solutions Navigators are a new resource to support folks cycling out of poverty with issues ranging from housing, food, basic needs, and the multitude of barriers that may arise when navigating systems.

The Solutions Navigators are here to help you to identify needs, goals, and assist you in accessing community resources and support from existing service providers. We hope an equitable approach provides participants with a sense of community, while filling gaps in service that so often lead to isolation and/or an inability for change and growth.
