16th & St Andrews Park

Thanks for your feedback! Our survey and stories forum are now closed. Your input will help us create a park that reflects the neighbourhood and community. Stay up to date on the project and next steps on letstalk.cnv.org.

In 2020, the City acquired a 0.22 hectare parcel of land to create a new neighbourhood park in East Central Lonsdale. This land became available due to rezoning at 250 15th Street East and St Andrews Avenue of two rental buildings.

16th & St Andrews park location

We’ve developed plans for an inclusive, sustainable park at 16th and St Andrews, bringing new opportunities for active family fun to the neighbourhood. The creation of this park aligns with the City’s Park Master Plan, to ensure that all residents are within a 5 minute walk from a park or public greenspace.

Currently, the site is an active construction area. In the future there will be seven points of access to the park, with most people entering from St Andrews Avenue or 16th Street. Some of the key features of the park site are two large coniferous trees in the northeast corner and its close proximity to Lions Gate Hospital.
