The nomination period for Mayor, Councillor and School Trustee in the City of North Vancouver 2026 General Local Election closes Friday, Sept. 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Submit nomination papers
Candidate nomination packages include the official forms and information required to run for office in the 2026 General Local Election. Packages can be downloaded at cnv.org/candidates or picked up in-person at City Hall, 141 West 14th Street. Completed nomination papers must be submitted in person (excluding weekends and statutory holidays), by mail, by fax, or by email to the Chief Election Officer by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11.
Late submissions will not be accepted. Candidates have until September 18 to withdraw their nomination.
Make your plan to vote
- On General Voting Day (Saturday, October 17, 2026), voters can cast their ballot at any of the nine voting locations across the City.
- Advance voting will be available on site at City Hall on Oct. 7, 10, 13, 14 and 15.
- Mail ballots are also available with a registration deadline of October 1. Completed mail ballots must be delivered by October 17 at 8:00 PM to North Vancouver City Hall.
