City Initiatives

Since the adoption of the 2002 Official Community Plan, the City has used the concept of sustainability to help integrate environmental, social and economic considerations in City plans, programs and activities. To date, this has included both the development of plans and corporate policies as well as efforts to measure and track the City’s process toward its goals over time. This process of integration will continue to evolve through the update to the Official Community Plan, called CityShaping.
