Fire Safety in the City

This summer has been hot and extremely dry, and we need your help to keep the City fire safe. Yard, beach, and park fires are prohibited in the City, and there are limitations on many other types of outdoor burning. A reminder that smoking is not permitted in City parks, trails and public spaces. Learn more about Outdoor Fire Safety at cnv.org/FireSafety.

Be our eyes and ears. If you spot any unusual fire activity, please call 911.

This year Metro Vancouver has banned indoor wood burning from May 15-September 15 (unless it's the sole source of heat), so take a break from chopping wood for cleaner air. Check out Fireplace Safety at cnv.org/FireSafety for more information on safe residential wood burning.
