Info For Sliders

Slide the City wristband pickup: The Slide the City Registration/Pick-up tent will be open at 8am on Saturday and Sunday for sliders to pick-up their packages. All sliders must be at least 5 years old and over 46” tall to slide.

My tube popped, can I buy one there? Yes, you can buy tubes from the Slide booth.

How To Get Here & Around

There’s no parking at the event. We encourage you to walk, bike or take transit. Road closures are in eff ect.

Free shuttle: A free shuttle bus will run from the bottom of the slide to the top, with a pick up at North Shore Neighbourhood House (225 East 2nd St) and East 5th St. Shuttle runs from 10am – 6pm. (See map above).

Water Info

How much water will be used for the slide? 50,000 litres per day, about $100 worth of water and the equivalent of a car wash. The water will be tested and treated. The slide will be inspected by the BC Safety Authority and checked every 15 minutes by a certifi ed technician.

On Stage at the Shipyards

Who’s playing at Summer Sessions? Summer Sessions, the City’s free summer concert series will feature an extended lineup for Fun City Festival. Live music will start at noon and run until 10pm on July 21st only featuring Coco Jafro as the headliner. There will be a dance party atmosphere at The Shipyards with live music on-stage, a beverage garden, food trucks and vendors.

12-2pm: Chris Ronald Duo (Folk)
2:30-4:30pm: Silk and Steel (Acoustic Rock Duo)
5-6:30pm: Wendy Biscuit Duo (Jazz & Folk)
7-10pm Coco Jafro (big sound and very dance able)
