The next General Local Election is on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Eligible voters are encouraged to register or update their voter information before the August 18, 2026 advance registration deadline.
The City of North Vancouver uses the Provincial Voters List maintained by Elections BC. Registering in advance helps ensure your voter information is up-to-date and can make voting quicker and easier when you cast your ballot.
Register early to vote
If you are voting for the first time, or if you have recently moved or changed your name, you can register or update your information by visiting Elections BC before the August 18 deadline.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can pre-register for future elections.
If you’re not sure if you’re already registered, you can resubmit the advance registration form on the Elections BC website.
Missed the deadline?
If you miss the advance registration deadline, you can still register when you vote.
To register at a voting location, voters must show two pieces of identification that prove their identity and residential address. One piece of identification must include a signature.
Make your plan to vote
- General Voting Day (Saturday, October 17, 2026), voters can cast their ballot at any of the nine voting locations across the City.
- Advance voting will also be available at City Hall on Oct. 7, 10, 13, 14 and 15.
- Mail ballots are also available. Registration will be open from August 31 to October 1. Completed mail ballots must be received by no later than October 17 at 8:00 p.m.
