A new season has arrived! Summer is here and so are a number of free summertime events for residents and visitors to enjoy.

With so much to do and see, the City has put together a shortlist of events and activities to explore during the month of July. From enjoying the World Cup at The Shipyards, to live music during lunchtime at Civic Plaza or an outdoor movie night under the stars, the City is jam-packed with exciting activities all month long.


Lunchtime Live at Civic Plaza Starting July 7

Starting July 7, visit Civic Plaza on Tuesdays from noon until 1:30 p.m. throughout July and August for Lunchtime Live. Enjoy this free, live music series with diverse genres including rock, pop, international and more. Take in the music as you pass by, or bring your own seat for an afternoon in the fresh air.

The fun starts this month with musical performances on July 7, 14, 21 and 28!

Canada Soccer House North Vancouver Until July 19

Experience the World Cup at The Shipyards for three more weeks!

The full Uber Eats Canada Soccer House experience occurs on 13+ select days throughout the tournament, including the beginning of July. Activities are free and include a live broadcast of matches on the big screen, giveaways and entertainment. Visitors can also enjoy food and beverage offerings, social gathering spaces, retail pop-ups featuring official merchandise, sponsor activations, and interactive games, prizes and surprises designed for fans of all ages.

You can enjoy the full Uber Eats Canada Soccer House experience on:

  • July 2 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • July 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All other dates until July 19 will be a mixture of match days, where fans can watch live match broadcasts while enjoying a selection of food and beverage options, or rest days, when no matches take place, but visitors can still enjoy The Shipyards for its comfortable, scenic waterfront setting, and maybe a soccer-themed movie on the big screen.

The Shipyards Splash Park Reopens on July 20

The Splash Park is back! Starting July 20, The Shipyards Splash Park will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through to the end of the summer.

As one of the City's key cooling-off zones that utilizes recirculated water, The Shipyards Splash Park is the perfect way for kids and families to cool down during the warmer months.

In compliance with current Metro Vancouver water restrictions, user-activated spray parks like the Splash Park can remain open.

Sunset Cinema at Civic Plaza on July 24

Starting this month, get ready for free, open-air movie nights!

Sunset Cinema is a collection of outdoor movie nights taking place at parks and public spaces throughout the City. Screenings are totally free, family-friendly and start at sundown—usually around 9 p.m.

The first of three Sunset Cinema movie nights takes place on Friday, July 24 with a screening of Lilo & Stitch (2025) at Civic Plaza.

Hot Summer Nights at Mahon Park on July 30

It's time to beat the heat with the North Vancouver City Fire Department!

Hot Summer Nights makes its annual return on Thursdays throughout July and August, hosted on select dates by the North Vancouver City Fire Department.

During the event, participants can meet the local fire prevention team, take a tour of the fire truck and equipment, participate in activities and giveaways, and enjoy some family-friendly fun. Keep in mind that water activities are subject to Metro Vancouver water restrictions and all activities are weather permitting.

North Vancouver City Fire Department hosts its first Hot Summer Nights community event on Thursday, July 30 at Mahon Park from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
