The World Cup is all about unity, passion, and celebration. We want to keep welcoming fans of all ages to our amazing fan site, but we need your help to keep the environment safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Rules of the Pitch:
- Respect Each Other: We have zero tolerance for fighting, aggressive behavior, or abusive language.
- Respect the Venue: No fence-jumping or bypassing security. Use designated entrances only.
- Keep it Family-Friendly: This is a space for everyone, from kids to grandparents.
Let's bring the energy, leave the drama and celebrate the beautiful game together!
Know Before you Go
Getting to the Shipyards
The Shipyards is easy to get to! We’re anticipating that some days will be very busy so we encourage you to walk, roll, or take transit if you are able to.
Bike along the Spirit Trail or one of the City’s many bike paths. Bike parking is available throughout The Shipyards and a free Bike Valet will also be offered at two separate locations on Uber Eats Canada Soccer House days.
Walk to The Shipyards along the Spirit Trail or through beautiful Lower Lonsdale, which are both very pedestrian-friendly.
Transit to the Lonsdale Quay transit hub, which is just a 5-minute walk from The Shipyards, or take one of several buses in the region that connect to Lonsdale Quay or Lower Lonsdale. For more information on transit during the World Cup, see TransLink’s Rider Guide.
Drive and use one of the parkade and street parking options throughout Lower Lonsdale.
Other Watch Parties in Lower Lonsdale
If a match is at capacity, there are lots of great viewing options in the area. Check out the list of World Cup Watch Parties from the Lower Lonsdale BIA. These celebrations are within walking distance from The Shipyards, and allow you to explore Lower Lonsdale’s unique food scene while celebrating the World Cup.
We anticipate some busy match days next week, so make sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
This event is jointly produced by CSME and the City with the generous support from our collective sponsors Uber Eats, Seaspan, Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association, the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport and CSME’s other sponsors.
