BC Hydro has planned power outages that will affect customers in some areas of the City of North Vancouver.
The next planned power outage is scheduled as follows:
Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Outage area (City of North Vancouver): W 29th Street to W 25th Street, Westview Drive to Claire’s Alley/ Chesterfield Ave
These outages are required to safely move customers to the newly built Capilano Substation. The new substation improves the reliability of BC Hydro’s system and allows them to better service the area. This is part of a larger plan to gradually switch customers over in the coming months, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
