City of North Vancouver Launches Complete Communities Assessment

January 28, 2025

Beginning today, the City of North Vancouver invites residents to share their feedback on the services and amenities in their neighbourhoods as part of the City’s Complete Communities Assessment. The assessment will determine how well services and amenities in City neighbourhoods met the daily needs of residents of all stages of life and ability.

What is a Complete Community?

Complete communities are neighbourhoods where daily needs can be met within a short walk or roll from home. In complete communities, people have easy access to grab groceries, see a doctor, play in a park, enjoy a café, get to work, and more.

What’s Involved

The assessment will map services and amenities in our communities and engage with residents on what is important to them. The findings will guide updates to the City’s Official Community Plan and inform housing and growth planning in the City over the next 20 year.

Community Input

From January 27 to February 17, 2025, residents are invited to share feedback on what makes their neighbourhood complete and where there is room for improvement. They may participate by:

  • Completing the survey via letstalk.cnv.org/CompleteCommunities
  • Visiting a pop-up event in the community to connect with staff and provide input.
    • See “Key Dates” on the right sidebar for pop-up locations and dates.

Project Timelines

January – February 2025: Community engagement
Spring – Summer 2025: Analyze findings
Fall 2025: Present final findings and recommendations to Council.
