The City of North Vancouver is undertaking its annual spring cleanup at the North Vancouver Cemetery throughout April.
The North Vancouver Cemetery is committed to providing a beautiful space for people to remember, celebrate and honour their loved ones. Every spring in April, the City conducts a cemetery cleanup as part of our seasonal maintenance.
For the enjoyment and safety of all visitors and staff, memorial adornments that are not permitted in the cemetery will be removed during this cleanup. Items that are removed will be carefully stored at the cemetery office for three months. Visitors are asked to take items they wish to keep before April 1 or visit the cemetery office by July 1 to retrieve them.
Visitors are encouraged to honour their loved ones with approved adornments. These include fresh cut flowers in a City-installed in-ground vase or on the surface of the marker, artificial flowers in a City-installed in-ground vase, and up to two small potted plants no more than 8" diameter in a plastic or biodegradable container. These items will be left in place during the spring cleanup.
This annual refresh helps us keep the cemetery clean, well-manicured and safe for all visitors and staff. Thank you for your cooperation.
