The City of North Vancouver wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday season! During the winter holidays, the City is committed to maintaining core services while adjusting some hours of operation.
Gateway and City Hall Hours
City Hall will be closed to the public on the following statutory holidays on:
- December 25, 2024
- December 26, 2024
- January 1, 2025
Please Note: During statutory holidays, construction is not permitted. Inspections will be paused from December 24 to December 31, and will resume on January 2, 2025.
On the following dates, online and telephone assistance will be available from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., with Gateway and City Hall services available in-person during these hours:
- December 24: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- December 27: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- December 30: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- December 31: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Regular operating hours will resume on January 2, 2025.
Online Services
The City offers a number of online services available 24/7, including:
- CityCollect provides updates and reminders for curbside collection, including Green Can and recycling.
- Permit payments and business or dog licence renewals can be completed with CityServe.
- Report non-urgent issues such as streetlights or sidewalk repair with CityFix.
- Complete an Online Service Request Form for Engineering (i.e., streets, utilities, sidewalks) and Parks.
- Pay a parking ticket online.

After Hours Emergencies
For sewer, water, drainage, construction, or road emergencies, call the Operations Emergency After Hours Line at 604-988-2212.
Shipyards Skate Plaza
The Shipyards Skate Plaza will be operating with temporary hours over the holiday season:
- December 24: 12-5 p.m.
- December 25: closed
- December 26 to January 1 and beyond: Open regular hours (12-8 p.m.)
Curbside Collection

Snow Clearing
To report snow or ice issues on roads, call Operations at 604-987-7155 (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday). For snow-clearing concerns, email bylaw@cnv.org. Learn more about the City’s snow clearing priorities at cnv.org/Snow.
