Pride Week in the City

July 26, 2023

The last week of July and the beginning of August marks Pride Week! This important week is about embracing individuality, celebrating talent, promoting inclusivity, and recognizing the contributions for all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. In honour and support of Pride Week, the City will be raising Pride flags outside City Hall at Civic Plaza.

You can join in the celebrations and show your Pride by participating in these local events happening in the City:

Pride at the Pride Parklet

On Wednesday, August 2 from 3:30-5:30pm, Play CNV is partnering with the North Shore Pride Alliance to bring Pride celebrations to the Pride Parklet on the 1400 block of Lonsdale. Come by and join us for live music and Pride friendly programming!

Pride at the Pier

Come celebrate Pride Week with Pride at the Pier, taking place at The Shipyards on Friday, August 4 from 3-10pm. Organized by the North Shore Pride Alliance, Pride at the Pier brings over 5 hours of 2SLGBTQIA+ activities throughout the evening with food trucks, a beverage garden and drag shows.
