The City of North Vancouver has launched a streamlined process allowing private skate rentals to be booked in advance at The Shipyards Skate Plaza. The City is partnering with the North Vancouver Recreation and Culture (NVRC) Commission to roll-out the new booking system.
The Shipyards Skate Plaza is now available for private rentals on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for 60 minutes during select hours of the day:
- Thursdays through Sundays: 8:30pm–9:30pm.
- Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00am-11:00am and 11:30am–12:30pm.
In addition to private rentals, we will continue to offer drop-in public skating starting December 1st, 2023, 1:00pm-8:00pm daily.
How to Book a Private Rental
Bookings can be made via the NVRC registration system, up to 60 days in advance of your desired booking date. Users will need to register an account prior to making a booking, which can take up to 48 hours to complete. After registering or logging into an existing account, users can check availability and book a private rental.
