City Residents Invited to Volunteer on Council Committees

The City of North Vancouver is now accepting volunteer applications to participate on several Council Committees. 

Council Committees play an important role in the community by advising City Council on specific civic matters such as housing affordability, city development, social services, community infrastructure and public education. Committees consist of dedicated local volunteers who bring their knowledge and lived experiences to help shape City policies, projects and initiatives for the betterment of the community.

The City is currently recruiting volunteer members for the following opportunities:

City residents interested in volunteering are encouraged to apply to serve on the Committee of their choice. Applications for current vacancies are due Nov. 17, 2023, at noon. Application forms are available online at cnv.org/Volunteer

The City encourages applicants of all ages, abilities, genders/gender identities, racialized identities, ethnicities, ancestries, sexual orientations, income levels, residency statuses and other lived experiences to volunteer. 

 

About Committee Volunteer Positions

Committee volunteer positions are appointed by Council and are generally held for one to three years, as outlined in the Committee’s Terms of Reference or bylaw. Committees typically meet once per month and may include one or two appointed members of Council, supported by City staff representatives.
