On Thursday, July 2, 2026 a ground breaking ceremony at Eastview Park marked the beginning of a project to enhance trails and circulation in the park, upgrade the disc golf course, ensure safety and comfort for all visitors, and support a healthy forest ecology.
The revitalized park will feature a nine-hole disc golf course, an accessible gravel trail through existing trees and open spaces and additional upgrades including new fencing, restoration planting, updated signage and seating areas.
“On behalf of Council, I am pleased to see the improvements at Eastview Park beginning to take shape,” said City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan. “Parks and public green spaces are essential to the health, well-being, and quality of life of our community. Among the enhancements are upgrades to the disc golf course, which will provide a fun, affordable, and accessible recreational opportunity for residents and visitors alike. Disc golf is an activity that promotes physical fitness, supports mental well-being, and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. These investments reflect our commitment to creating vibrant, inclusive public spaces and will help ensure that Eastview Park remains a valued community asset for years to come.”
The new design is the result of a public engagement campaign held between 2023 and 2025, which featured two public open houses, targeted interest holder meetings and an online engagement through the City’s Let’s Talk platform.
Construction begins in July and is expected to complete after approximately three months.
