The City has temporarily relaxed our patio rules so businesses can easily create more outdoor patio space during the COVID-19 pandemic. On September 14, 2020 Council unanimously approved a motion to extend the Temporary Patio Program for the duration of COVID-19 to support local businesses. There are no permit fees for this temporary permit.

Who can apply? Neighbourhood pubs, breweries, restaurants, specialty food services and retail shops with a valid business licence issued by the City. Want to expand your patio or extend your current permit?
