This webpage is designed to navigate information about parking across the City, and the different resources available to help residents and visitors understand where and when to park as they work, shop, explore and do business in the community.

It is the City's role to manage its limited parking and curb space resources, to meet the needs of people and business today and in the future. The City's Curb Access and Parking Plan seeks to improve parking reliability, increase fairness, and support businesses through better curb space management. 

There are several different types of parking rules and regulations in the City to provide curbside access to all users. Find out more below.

Pay parking icons
Pay parking regulations aim to increase parking availability near shops and services by encouraging parking turnover. The City is introducing pay parking in high-demand commercial areas from September 2025. Learn about pay parking areas, fees and options for payment in the City.
Parking Permit icons
City residents can get a permit for themselves or a guest to park on the street near their home for up to 72 hours without penalty. Find details about the different types of permits, permit rates, who can apply, and how to apply.
