The Mosquito Creek Bridge has been replaced, and the overall project is nearing completion.
The underpass trail is not yet open and is still under construction for the next several weeks while we work on the final elements, including safety and drainage features. These include a barrier extension to protect the path from high streamflows in the creek, lighting to illuminate the pathway, and signage to inform the public about detours during periods of high streamflow. Once complete, the trail running along Mosquito Creek will connect to the Spirit Trail and Trans Canada Trail.
Please watch for updates on when the path will be open for use, and follow all posted signage. Once the trail is open, signage advising not to use the trail during high water levels as well as detour information will be provided.
