Dog Licences & Renewals

All dog licences expire December 31st of each year.

Renewal notices are delivered in late November.

If you own a dog in the City of North Vancouver you need to obtain a dog licence. This is a City bylaw (8113 C) and it provides protection for your pet.

Lost dogs wearing a city dog licence are returned to owners far faster than dogs without one.

A fine of $60.00 will be levied to dog owners found without a valid dog licence in the City of North Vancouver. Residents with an Assistance Dog will be issued a licence free of charge.

New Licences & Renewals

You can renew and apply for dog licences online with CityServe, our online service centre. Licence fees are $30 per year (Residents with an Assistance Dog will be issued a licence free of charge.). Once payment is complete your new or renewed dog licence will be mailed out to you.

New Dog Licence: Create a CityServe account.

Renew Existing Dog Licence: Log into your CityServe account. If you don't see your existing license after logging in, please email tax@cnv.org to have your account linked. Do not submit a new application.
