The City of North Vancouver is now accepting nominations and applications for the Civic Youth Awards and the Youth Centennial Scholarship. Celebrate the contributions of youth, youth groups and youth-friendly businesses. Nominations and applications are open until March 8, 2026.
Civic Youth Awards
Annually during BC Youth Week (May 1-7), the City of North Vancouver honours young leaders and those who support them. Winners will be recognized and celebrated for their dedication, leadership and impact. Find details on the awards below:
Award Categories:
- Rise Up Award – Recognizing youth who have exhibited personal change or growth.
- Give Back Award – Honouring those who make positive contributions to their community.
- Kind Heart Award – Celebrating individuals demonstrated kindness and compassion for others.
- Best Youth Friendly Biz Award – Recognizing businesses that create opportunities for youth.
- Awesome Ally Award – For individuals or groups that support and provide services to youth.
- Outstanding Squad Award – Celebrating youth groups making a positive impact in their school or community.

$1,000 Youth Centennial Scholarship
Are you a Grade 12 student dedicated to community service? The Youth Centennial Scholarship, administered by the North Shore Community Foundation, awards $1,000 to a graduating student pursuing post-secondary education.
