Celebrate Earth Day with Free Community Event This Saturday

The City of North Vancouver invites residents to keep the Earth Day celebrations going at a free, all-ages event at Sunrise Park (Kennard Ave & E 4th St) this Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us for a day of outdoor fun, interactive environmental activities, and community connection. 

Event highlights include: 

  • Volunteer invasive plant removal with the City Park Stewards
  • Children’s activities, including bird perch painting and ivy weaving
  • Free plant giveaway
  • Bike Repair Café with tune-ups by PEDAL Society mechanics
  • Interactive community booths, featuring local organizations such as the North Shore Streamkeepers, Coast Salish Plant Nursery, Native Bee Society of BC, North Shore Black Bear Society, HUB Cycling, RegenerateBC, City Fire Department and others

About the Bike Repair Café

Bring your bike for a free one-on-one tune-up with experienced mechanics from the PEDAL Society. Sessions are first come, first served. E-bikes welcome (mechanical components only).

About the City Park Stewards

The City Park Stewards is a volunteer program aimed at improving the ecological health of our parks and natural areas. Throughout the year, volunteers take part in important restoration activities like planting native plants and removing invasive species.
