Studio in the City 16

Studio in the City 16 is looking for talented youth musicians and singer/songwriters (ages 15 to 18) to bring their musical talents to the City this summer! Learn how to develop your talents from industry professionals, and have the opportunity to practice your skills and perform in public spaces with the Studio in the City team. 
 
In partnership with North Van Arts, this employment program ($16.75 per hour) will run three days a week, five hours a day, in July and August. All levels and abilities are welcome!
 
What to expect: 

  • Led by an experienced musician mentor and guest mentors 
  • Songwriting workshops
  • Performance opportunities 
  • Learning in a supportive environment 
  • Program held at Anne Macdonald Studio 

Complete a 2023 Studio in the City application before the deadline on May 22, 2023 at 5pm.

About Artist Mentor Nathan Turner
With a jazz brain, soul feel, and folk heart, Vancouver based guitarist and singer-songwriter Nathan Turner fuses together alternative and lo-fi. A frequent collaborator, Nathan holds ten cumulative album releases and seven years of international touring experience. Alongside performing and recording, Nathan currently teaches at Sarah McLachlan School of Music, Saint James School of Music and Deep Cove Music.
