Lynnmouth Park Improvements

Off-Leash Dog Area Now Open

The new Lynnmouth Park off-leash dog area is now complete and ready for Fido to play and explore. This new fenced area offers 3,600 square metres of space for dogs to run, and places for you to sit and relax. The area has bark mulch surfacing, new gravel pathways and improved drainage. The main path through the park is now on-leash to protect sensitive natural habitat along Lynn Creek. You'll find the new off-leash area at the south end of the park.

Work on trail improvements continues.

In 2018, the City began implementing trail and habitat improvements in Lynnmouth Park, focusing on restoring streamside habitat along the west bank of Lynn Creek. Lynn Creek is an important salmon bearing stream and the newly planted vegetation helps support local fish and wildlife populations.

Spirit Trail Connection

In preparation for a future Spirit Trail connection to Bridgman Park, the City is making additional improvements including:

  • trail surfacing and drainage
  • restoring lawn areas
  • enhancing the trail connection at 3rd Street

This work also includes a new fully fenced dog off-leash area in Lynnmouth Park between Main Street and East 3rd Street.
