Where can I park the e-bike?
At the end of a trip, riders must return their e-bikes to a Lime Grove. Look for the blue parking pins within the Lime app to help plan where to end your trip.
Where can I find a Lime Grove to locate an e-bike?
Lime Groves can be found in the Lime App. Download the App: Apple Store | Google Play
How do I start or end a ride?
Lime offers a tutorial within the Lime app for first-time users. Generally, riders use their smart phone to unlock an e-bike, and must return the e-bike to a Lime Grove and lock the built-in bike lock to end the trip. Learn more on the Lime electric-assist bike website or in the Lime Help Centre.
What does a Lime Grove look like?
Lime Groves feature white pavement tape with a bike parking decal or stencil in the centre. When located on-street, they also feature delineators.

The City of North Vancouver Council endorsed its E-Bike Share Policy in November of 2020. This policy was the first step to making this program a reality and creating the opportunity for a joint E-Bike Share Program to be established. The District of North Vancouver followed suit in February of 2021, and the District of West Vancouver in June of 2021.
In January 2021, the City sought applicants to run the e-bike share program. On May 17, 2021, the City of North Vancouver and District of North Vancouver jointly announced their selection of Lime as the single operator for the E-Bike Share Permit in a news release. With this permit, Lime was set to launch an e-bike share service for a two-year pilot period beginning in Summer 2021. The District of West Vancouver joined the pilot service area in Summer 2022.
Similar bike share systems are in place in the City of Vancouver and at the University of British Columbia. Once in place, the North Shore e-bike share system will be the first of its kind in the province.
How Will the Pilot Program Work?
Lime has been granted a permit to operate an e-bike share system as a two-year pilot program on the North Shore. During this period, the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver will work with Lime to provide guidance and conduct ongoing monitoring and outreach to assess the impacts and success of the program.
We will regularly review user data and public feedback, and will regularly report on the pilot’s status to Council and the public.
