Roadwork & Construction Updates


Roadwork and construction occurs throughout the City on an intermittent basis. During these times, the City advises residents and commuters to expect minor traffic delays and parking disruptions and to choose an alternate route if possible. Signage is posted prior to any road closures and regular updates are provided below.

East 3rd Street from St. George’s Avenue to Moody Avenue, Expected duration: April 9 – late September 2018, Monday to Friday: 7am – 4pm, Saturday: 9am – 7pm (if required)

600 block E. Keith Road September 25, 2018 September 26, 2018 City crews will be installing a new water service in the 600 Block of East Keith Road. During the construction traffic will be reduced to single lane alternating. Expect parking restrictions and delays. 
East 3rd St from St. George’s Ave to Moody Ave
April 9, 2018 September 2018
Lonsdale Energy Corporation is extending its district energy distribution system to provide sustainable heating energy to new developments in the Moodyville area. Construction will proceed eastward from the 200 block of East 3rd Street and partial road closures will occur in the block of active construction, Monday – Friday: 7am – 4pm, Saturday: 9am – 7pm (if required). Street trees will not be impacted. More info: cnv.org/EastThird
Lower Lynn Improvements May 2017 Fall 2018 Phase 1 of the project (Mountain Highway Interchange) is scheduled to start construction in May 2017. Anticipated completion of Phase 1 is in Fall of 2018. Expect delays. More at gov.bc.ca/lowerlynninterchanges
