Exciting news! We're moving ahead with the next phase of the Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre, aligning the delivery of the new facility with development of the surrounding Harry Jerome Neighbourhood Lands (HJNL).

With Phase 1 of the HJNL underway at Lonsdale and East 21st St., staff are now negotiating with Darwin Properties lease terms for the remaining HJNL sites. Meanwhile, design of the new facility is almost done and will go to Council in April. Construction is on track to begin in 2022, with the new HJCRC to open in 2025. Read more.
