Rain, Drains and Creeks

Awareness and environmentally sound management of the City’s creeks and streams is directly connected to how rain is managed in our urban landscape.  This series of pages describes and outlines how we are managing rain and stormwater (drainage from rainfall), and ongoing and new initiatives for environmental sustainability.  The following image illustrates the process of rainfall moving from our mountain headwaters and urban landscape to the our creeks and Burrard Inlet.
