Youth Services Directory

Do you need to talk to someone about an issue at home or school? Are you having difficulty finding friends or transitioning to the job market? The North Shore Youth Services Directory is a great resource that's loaded with information for young people on the North Shore.

It covers the range of issues facing youth today and provides the contact information you need to help you connect with the right people.


Youth Health

Vancouver Coastal Health: Youth Health Clinics provide free and confidential health counselling and help with personal/school problems for youth up to and including the age of 19.

Vancouver Coastal Health: North Shore Eating Disorder Program (formerly Be Real Eating Disorders Clinic) is for persons between 11-19 years of age who live on the North Shore, Sunshine Coast, or Sea to Sky. It provides access to medical support, dietician consultation and supportive counselling for youth suffering from disordered eating.

North Shore ConneXions Society supports families and serves children and adults living with disabilities or developmental delays.

North Shore Disability Resource Centre works to ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to participate actively as contributing members of society. It is committed to working toward a community that is free of physical, financial and attitudinal barriers.

Ministry for Children and Family Development provides a wide range of services to help young people and their families when they are having difficulties, when youth are sexually exploited, have an addiction to drugs or alcohol, are living on the street, have mental health problems or a combination of issues.

Reach out Psychosis is a program which educates young people and their parents about psychosis and reduces the stigma surrounding mental illness in a fun and interactive environment.

The Integrated Fitness Society (InterFit) has the goal is of providing people with disabilities full, easy, year-round access to a wide-range of both indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities, reducing isolation and promoting healthy community integration.

BC Mobility Opportunities Society (BCMOS) is an independent non-profit society dedicated to enriching the lives of people with significant physical disabilities through wilderness recreation activities. Go hiking or gliding with BCMOS.


Youth & Family Community Services

North Shore Neighbourhood House provides youth outreach services to the community at various neighbourhood locations.

Capilano Community Services Society offers services to youth age 10-24, focusing on the potentially at risk youth population. Provides drug and alcohol prevention awareness, advocacy, support and facilitates referrals to other agencies and access to services.

Hollyburn Family Services Society provides quality counselling and support services to children, youth, families and seniors who are experiencing difficulties coping in their daily lives.

Connect for Kids is a one-stop link to information about hundreds of child and family services on the North Shore.
