Bylaw Services

What We Do

Bylaw Services is responsible for the enforcement of the City’s bylaws. Bylaw Officers work to educate the community about bylaws, enforce fairly and consistently and resolve any bylaw conflicts in a collaborative way.

Some of the main areas of enforcement:

  1. Parking Enforcement (Street and Traffic Bylaw No.6234)
  2. Noise Complaints (Noise Control Bylaw No. 5819)
  3. Animal Control (Dog Tax and Regulation Bylaw No. 8113
  4. Property Maintenance (Nuisance Abatement Bylaw No. 5659) and (Rental Premises Standards of Maintenance Bylaw No. 7931)
