Community Grants

Supporting not-for-profit organizations serving local residents

The City provides annual community grants to assist community organizations with the delivery of services for groups that work to reduce social, economic or physical disadvantage, and/or which improve the quality of life for residents.

Eligible programs and services

Grants can support a community and not-for-profit organization’s expenses, including special projects and events (e.g. hosting a workshop or producing resource material); operating costs (e.g. ongoing operating costs such as rent, utilities, fixed costs); projects (e.g. a program to serve a particular group); or capital costs (e.g. purchase of office equipment).

The City of North Vancouver’s Community Grant program supports programs located within the City. The District of North Vancouver and District of West Vancouver have different application processes. and organizations must apply separately to each municipality.

Funding Amounts

The Community Grant program provides funding for non-profit and community groups up to a maximum of $15,000.

There are two application deadlines annually: January 31st and September 15th of each year. When these dates land on a weekend, the deadline is the next regular business day.
