Significant projects currently in the planning stages or underway in the City of North Vancouver.

The Casano-Loutet overpass will provide an important connection between local communities, a safe transportation route for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as a safe route to school for many local students.

Harbourside is a four-phase mixed-use development. The development is being shaped by development permit guidelines to control its form and character, and also to regulate the look and feel of the public area including street width, parking access, public amenities, materials, and architectural styles.

We’re building a new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre (HJCRC) in the heart of Central Lonsdale that will focus on physical and mental health, wellness, inclusion, and diversity.

The project brings the aging infrastructure up to modern seismic standards and provides significant safety and travel improvements for cyclists, pedestrians, transit users and drivers, as well as an important north-south connection to the Mosquito Creek Trail. This project completed in fall 2021.

The redevelopment of the NSNH site is a unique opportunity to bring together community-oriented organizations into a vibrant and integrated hub in the heart of Lower Lonsdale.

On July 23, 2018, Council unanimously supported amendments to the Zoning Bylaw to modernize regulations that control how single family dwellings and duplexes are built in the City.
