The City has several employment types that may appeal to a variety of individuals. When a new position is posted under Current Career Opportunities, the employment status (or job type) is included.


Regular Full-Time & Regular Part-Time Employment

As a regular full-time or regular part-time employee, you are an integral part of our municipal team. Your work supports the day-to-day operations of the City. Temporary Full-Time (Including Seasonal Employment)

The City regularly offers seasonal employment opportunities, primarily in the summer months when positions such as labourers in the Engineering, Parks and Environment Department are available. Other temporary full-time opportunities also become available for short-term or long-term assignments.


Auxiliary Employment (On-Call)

If you are looking for flexibility and variety, consider applying to the City's auxiliary pool. Auxiliary positions include short-term and/or on-call positions. You can develop your skills, acquire new ones and work with a range of people on different tasks. An additional 12% is paid in lieu of benefits.

Auxiliary employees working at the RCMP Detachment will be required to obtain a security clearance and can expect to be called in for shifts at various times, seven days a week.
