FOOD: If you are serving food, and it involves the services of a caterer or the preparation and service of food to members of the public, please contact the Vancouver Coastal Health Food Inspector at 604-983-6700 or at www.vch.ca to obtain approval.
If you are booking food trucks for your event only invite those that have a current City of North Vancouver business licence as they are the only Food Trucks permitted to operate at events in the City of North Vancouver. The most current list will be provided by City staff.
If alcoholic beverages will be served please call 604-983-7356 (City of North Vancouver) for instructions.
AMPLIFIED SOUND: If amplified sound is to be used, relaxation of CNV Noise Bylaw 5819 may be required. Sounds above 75dB are not permitted at Shipbuilders' Square and Civic Plaza.
EARLY BOOKING RECOMMENDED: Requests by organizers must be made a minimum of five working days in advance of event. Approval is not guaranteed and late submissions may not be accepted. Do not advertise your event prior to receiving approval.
The event organizer is responsible for leaving the area clean and litter-free and may be billed for all subsequent costs incurred by the City for cleanup.
All bookings require a minimum of $5 million Commercial General Liability insurance naming the City of North Vancouver as an additional insured. NOTE: Should you not have your own insurance, you may be able to purchase coverage through the City’s User Group Insurance Policy.
User will indemnify and hold harmless the City of North Vancouver, and their respective officials, officers, employees and agents, against all loss, damage, expenses, proceedings, claims, demands or actions suffered or incurred by any of them arising out of or in connection with the User's use of this Civic Space.
