Public Hearings and Meetings
Public Hearings are usually held on the third Monday of every month and are regulated by the Local Government Act of B.C. Conducted by City Council, the purpose of the Public Hearings is to provide members of the community the opportunity to present their comments and input regarding proposed changes to a zoning bylaw, heritage designation or the Official Community Plan. In this way, North Vancouver residents can participate in the civic process which may affect their community, property and interests.
Any issue presented by a member of the community - either in person, by attorney, or by letter - will be given due consideration by Council members. City Council welcomes your presence at a Public Hearing.
